1. What Lexi-Life is

Lexi-Life is a product and division of Highland Rental Finance CC. It is a structured digital estate organiser that stores structured metadata and user-provided external links to documents and media. Lexi-Life does not store estate documents by default.

2. No legal advice • Not a fiduciary

Lexi-Life does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm. Lexi-Life is not an executor and is not a fiduciary. You are responsible for obtaining professional legal or financial advice where required.

3. External links and user responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining secure storage of your documents and ensuring your external links remain valid. If your storage provider changes, your links may become inaccessible. Lexi-Life is not responsible for broken links or inaccessible external content.

4. Executor access and verification

Executor access is conditional on the verification process, which may include a death certificate and identification. Access may be time-limited and may be revoked where verification fails or fraud is suspected.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Subscription pricing and billing terms are described on the Pricing page. Payment processing is handled by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record. Where a payment fails, a grace period may apply before editing is disabled. Export and executor access are not blocked solely due to subscription state.

6. Refunds and cancellations

Lexi-Life is a subscription-based service. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

We offer a 14-day refund period from the date of purchase.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the original transaction date.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at checkout.

After 14 days, payments are non-refundable.

7. Limitations of liability

Lexi-Life is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lexi-Life is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to broken links, third-party storage failures, or executor disputes.

8. Governing law

Lexi-Life is incorporated in South Africa and operates globally. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute, including any question regarding the existence, validity or termination of these Terms, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa.
